Despite the snow lulling me into just reading and drinking coffee all day, I did get some 'sleighing' of the reed done. Or is that sleying? Just a bit of snowed-in humor! Sorry, couldn't help myself.
The book I just finished was "The Lincoln Lawyer" by Michael Connell. I thought it was a good read. (I also like his Harry Bosch character.)

Snow Ticking
Like the rest of the Midwest, I have a bit of snow. Looks like I will be able to finish reading that book and maybe get the loom warped before I try to get out. This is the ticking warp I have had waiting to get onto a loom. I just wish I had some of Dianne's bacon wrapped dates. Maybe I will have to fire up the oven and make some myself. They won't be as good, but they will be yummy!

Weaver Rose and Ticking and Me
I am still in and out of pocket, so not getting much done on the weaving front. But I wind a few yards of the ticking warp, and thread a few heddles of Weaver Rose No. 10 as I pass through. I am in inch worm mode!

Working On Projects - Ticking
I am still winding warp for some ticking I want to weave. My draft calls for 786 ends!!! So I am taking my time!! I just love using these nylon potholder loopers that my friend Jeff told me about. Almost as good as cream in my coffee!!!
They don't slip, slide, and they keep my warp tidy.

Weaving and Warping - S2T and Ticking
While I continue to weave my single two tie (S2T) scarf, I will also wind a warp for the next large project. I had such fun with the dimity, I thought I would try weaving some Ticking. This was another weave structure I was introduced to when I took my class at John C Campbell Folk School way back in April 2007. I always thought it would be fun to weave some ticking.....

I will weave some single two tie and wind some ticking warp..... makes for more fun if you have several projects on the stove at once.
