Remembering Family
Remembering my sister and mother-in-law.

Hot in the Kitchen?
Now this towel shows up some of the tracking between the dimity strips. I used my 'mock plain weave' on the hem area. Now my friends will say this is a strange picture coming from me because they know I don't have any idea what to cook in that dish! It is a dish isn't it?? Bake wear? I am going with kitchen thing-ie!
Dimity on six shafts, sett at 18 epi using 8/2 cotton in warp and weft.
P.S. Happy Anniversary to my DH. 44 years and counting!!

A Little Needle Work
Not much weaving going on here. I have been playing with some yarn, though. Getting ready for some quick gifts I might be needing next month!
Just some green yarn I saw in my local 'box store'. It jumped into my cart and so when I got home I needed to turn it into something. I have a granddaughter who likes hats.... maybe she will like this?

A Grandson To Dye For
Been playing with the grandson and tie-dye! Grandma and grandson had a great time. No dye on clothes or shoes we were wearing at the time...... just our hands!

| Shawn dyed these two cotton scarves for his sister and his mother. (His brother gets a t-shirt too! But it is already packed for the trip back to VA.) |

Family
This was given to me by my brother and his wife. I think it fits me to a tee!
Oh, and the weather was good enough that I played nine holes of golf with DH.

And Then There Were Two - Socks
I don't know if you would call them socks. Maybe 'half socks'? Anyway, I knew what my daughter wanted so I knitted them and have mailed them and hopefully they will be at her house in time for her birthday.
Here is what they turned out to look like.

Knitted Yoga Socks
I had a request from dear daughter for some knitted yoga socks. So here I go.....maybe I will have them done in time for her birthday later this month.
I had to find the needles, find some yarn that she can put in the washing machine, and get busy. Not a very good 'girl' color, but they should do well in a washing machine.... 50% superwash wool, 25% bamboo and 25% nylon.
Yoga Socks = no heel or toe.

Purple Socks Anyone?
Still knitting on the purple socks. Here I am working on the heel of sock number two. These may end up being mine. I felted a pair the other day, so I need a replacement pair.
I did get all the socks knitted for family members and mailed. But I was hoping to get a couple of scarves knitted too, but just didn't. Maybe they will be done by next year.
The oranges are from my cousin and his wife who live in Florida. They are Yummy! Thanks Lyle and RuthAnn.

I am still away from weaving, but wanted to share another photo of yesterday's blanket.
I wonder, could it be three thread Huck?

Side Trip
Life sends us on side trips, but rest assured I will be knitting away on my socks while away from the loom. I hope to be back posting my weaving adventures with the summer and winter soon.
But until then......
But until then......

Another Family Day
I am unable to get to the loom but did see this great wicker chair that gave me a chance to 'think weaving' for a few minutes.
