Tied Weave Progress

Making progress on this S2T scarf. I am trying to weave without a pattern repeat. Designing at the loom is fun!

Now I have told you that I am weaving this in 1-2-2-1 pattern order with a-b-a-b tabby order.

Well............................................

There is lots more you can do to get slightly different effects. Here are the different orders you could use if you wanted to. One of the big laws says which ever order you decide to use, you MUST use it throughout your project.

Different tie down orders:
1-1-1-1 ( you do not use tie down 2). this is called dukagang-fashion
2-2-2-2 also dukagang-fashion
1-2-2-2
1-2-1-2
1-1-2-2
2-2-1-1

And if you didn't think that was enough to think about, you can also do your tabbies in different orders too:
a-b-a-b
b-a-b-a
a-a-b-b
b-b-a-a

If you are still interested in single two-tie, you might want to try to find the book "A Weave For All Seasons, Summer & Winter" by Donna Sullivan. I don't know if it's still out there to purchase, you might need to check your local guild libraries. Also for those who are members of Complex Weavers, that library has it.
